ISRII 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award
ISRII members were invited to nominate members of the community for a Lifetime Achievement Award. Nominees should have made a significant and major contribution to the development of the field of e/mHealth and be viewed as leaders in the field by the ISRII community.
The ISRII 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award has been awarded to Gerhard Andersson, PhD, Linköping University and Karolinska Institute.
Gerhard is one of the pioneers of the field and has, for the first time, demonstrated the great potential of digital interventions for many disorders and, thereby, built the basis that Internet interventions are now considered as evidence-based treatments for a range of disorders in health care systems worldwide. Gerhard and his work have inspired many researchers worldwide and several of his former students have now brought the field substantially forward themselves.
